Do we need to own someone when we love them? Sometimes the
best way of showing someone we love them is to let them go. Right! What a noble idea ...
Wonder how many of us can do that. Most people tend to want to be with the
people that they love, we tend to want them to ourselves, we tend to want them
around us most of the time, we tend to want them to pay attention to
nothing but us, we tend to want them to drop everything they are doing and
attend our need.
“Autumn in My Heart,” is a brilliant Korean drama. It was the first Korean drama that I watched and I am hooked afterward. It
portrays how unselfish love can be. I am referring to the supporting male
character Won Bin with the character name Han Tae Suhk. I recognized here that
Ms. Choi Eun Suh (The main actress) was not in love with Tae Suhk. But, but
still Tae Suhk loved Eun suh enough to stay by her side when she needed someone
the most and yet courageous enough to let her go as long as she is happy with
Joon Suh, the leading male character. It is very hard to let go of someone that
you love. Even though it hurt him inside but he did it because he loved her so
deeply. It was not an easy decision for him as he struggled to the end …
You say … He has no choice since the main actress, Eun Suh,
was not interested with him to begin with. Let’s take a look at the main actor,
Song Seung Hun with character name “Yun Joon Suh.” I need to be careful not to give out everything for those who want to
watch the movie after reading this blog.
However, I do want to point out the part that he too attempted to let go
of Eun Suh, the main female character. In fact, both of them initially decided to let go of each
other despite how much they loved each other simply it was impossible for them to be together and to be together they would hurt others. A lot of struggling …
but the ending is so beautiful or not.
Some of us are lucky enough that we may never face this
decision in life or perhaps the decision was in the past. To let go or not perhaps are decisions that some people might have to face or could be facing as we speak. I am not sure where I
read or heard from that the best way to love someone is to set them free if we
can’t be with them. Or perhaps this only happens behind the curtains ...

That is exactly what Tom cruise did in Mission Impossible
III –Ghost Protocol. Don’t worry … I am
not revealing the core of the movie.
This is just side scene, a small part of the movie. In order to protect his
wife, Tom Cruise decided to let her go. Looking from far away with his
loving eyes … When their eyes locked in and one can tell their altruistic love was still there ... I guess we don’t have to own
someone to love them …
