Light at the End of the Tunnel?

Have you ever been on a ride, a very wild ride in which you were promised to see light at the end of the tunnel? But, the ride seems to last forever and the promise that light would come crumbles by the second and you are on the verge of falling apart... what would you do? Take a hike or stick around ‘till the end, hanging on to your faith?

In fact, let’s take you for that ride. You are on it because you are the chosen one. At the end of this adventure, you will gain a new skill that you will need for your next journey. You are so excited, so you buy a ticket. Now you are on this train, a swift train with a golden promise.

Before taking you to your ultimate destination, the train will make its stop. In this stop, you are supposed to learn the new skill. A guardian is waiting for you at the location. You are so looking forward for this very day. You have mustered your courage, hope and desire to success. The grass is greener here. The day that you have been waiting for has finally arrived. You walk in to this place and you realize that it is so foreign. But still, you walk in anxiously. A week goes by and no one has come to greet you. You made a few attempts, but everyone seems to be busy. An uneasy feeling creeps up to you and you wonder if this is the right place for you to be. You shed the thought away and tell yourself that you will be fine

A month gone by and still your guardian never show up and instead a few people here and there are trying to make you feel like home.  You are so looking forward for the guardian to be there so your ultimate assignment can be started. But, despite how desperate your call was, you were met with icy silence.

Everyone in the new place seems to be busy carrying on their duties, and yet, you have plenty of time in your hands. You feel helpless but decide to enjoy and learn what you can. Still … that very same uneasy feeling creeps up again and you so wanted to walk out but your feet wouldn’t budge.

Finally, the ultimate day is approaching and your long-awaited guardian has arrived with the orders. You feel like alive again as you are feeling part of the busy-bee family. Just as the good thought has filled in your days, you have realized that everything has gone wrong. All of the information including date, and priority given are wrong.
Whatever you do, nothing has gone right. It is like when it rains, it pours. You start to wonder if this is the right path and this tunnel seems to be long and has no end let alone the light. Now you are thinking should I take a hike or should I ride it out?
Occasionally in this journey of life, we are facing with choices. Sometimes what we chose, may not end up like what we have envisioned in the beginning. But, we do know one thing, the train will be back someday. And it will take you to the promised light.-- "Sometimes that light at the end of the tunnel is a train."-- Charles Barkley
Now the real question is … do you have the courage to wait for it?
Have you ever felt like being in the tunnel and wondering whether you should escape or stick it out?

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is!
